THE
BEASTS
Thirty-five evolution lines. One hundred and three Beasts. Every one of them a martial artist with a real fighting style, a home realm and a belt to earn.
Natural progression.
Same animal, same colours, same markings at every stage. It just grows up: round and cute at white belt, athletic at colour belts, legendary at black.
Names you can shout.
Two syllables, ends on a vowel. Evolutions keep the root and add a power ending: Kiko → Kikoro → Kikojin. Every name hides a real Japanese meaning.
A real art on every card.
Karate, kendo, capoeira, muay thai, kalaripayattu. Each line carries a real fighting style and an always-on trait drawn from how that art actually fights.
Belts are evolution.
A Beast evolves when its trainer earns the matching belt. The belt bar on every card shows where. The card’s growth is the kid’s growth.

Yobi · 3D model · in developmentSplice, don’t decorate.
A generic monster is an animal wearing a gi. The Originals are built the other way round: a real organism with a strange way of staying alive, a myth that decides what it wants, and one ordinary object that woke up after a hundred years of being used.
“In Pagoda Bay they float a paper lantern out to sea when somebody does not come home. Yobi is what one of those lanterns becomes when it waits too long for an answer.”

It doesn’t evolve. You find it, or you win it. And it only bows to those who bow first.
