Five minutes to learn.
Years to master.
A thirty-card deck, a Beast on the mat and four on the bench. A match fits before class, after class, or while a sibling trains. It never eats mat time.
Bow
Players bow, shuffle thirty-card decks, draw five, and put a Beast on the mat.
Charge Ki
Attach one Ki a turn. Any card face-down is wild Ki, so a beginner is never stuck.
Choose stance
Both players place a stance card face-down: Tsuki, Geri or Uke.
Reveal: KIAI!
Flip together and shout. Win the stance clash and your technique lands a clean hit, +20.
Score
Knock out a Beast to score. First to three points wins, like sanbon kumite. A black belt knockout is worth two.
Read your opponent.
Pick a stance. Your rival picks one too. Strike beats kick, kick breaks guard, guard stops the strike. Hit a weakness for +30. First to three knockouts takes the match.
Every element beats two.
Not fire-water-grass. The sky (Sun, Moon, Void), the land (Mountain, Cliff, Ice, Water, Fire), the weather and earth (Rain, Soil, Stone), the warrior (Samurai) and the mind (Psychic). One rule to learn: hit a weakness and it’s +30 damage. No halving, no multipliers.
Tap any element on the wheel.
Every inch teaches something.
The belt colour at which this Beast evolves. Kids read it as “when I reach green, mine evolves too.”
Names blend myth and power words, fun to say and easy to remember.
One kanji per element. Kids learn thirteen kanji without trying.
A real martial art and a place on the map. Every card is a small doorway into the arts.
Painted key art in a gold-framed window. Holographic at Rare and above.
Ki cost, a real technique name, stance tag (TSUKI, GERI, UKE) and damage.
Straight from the element chart, so kids plan match-ups.
